Here's a VERY late V. Capensis (different 🧬 source than my other V's) just pushing new leaves well behind my main clump, and a transplant from the main clump. Wonder if more full sun in its spot could cause this, or the genetics???

Pictured with it is another of my V. Capensis "Deassii type", and it is close in timing with the other 3 in a different spot.

Hoping one day to cross some of my different Veltheimia to make some fun offspring...types I have in the ground-

Capensis (2 different genetics)
Capensis Deassii
Bracteata
Bracteata Yellow
Bracteata Cream

And we have Veltheimia seed from SA to further introduce different genetics 🧬, and maybe if we're Lucky get different forms.

And, why not throw in updated pics of my Capensis..?

AND...why not complete the post with my leafed out V. Bracteata..? Though these pics are in shade, they really are in a mostly full sun position once we get out of the winter solstice. They get fried looking by May, and I've been meaning to move them for a long time.

Happy New Year! 🥳 🎊 🎆
