[Too Many Plants!]

Hi, can anyone lend some experienced/knowledgeable help on this genus/species. I'm very interested in trying this in my So Cal inland 9B summer hot sunny, winter cold nights Mediterranean Garden! Seems there is nothing on the PBS sight, but some stuff on the Web makes it sound like it needs indoor-like "houseplant" conditions. I read it's from the Western Cape, and I grow many plants from that area, and that information sounds suspect to me...

Any experience and/or knowledgeable help is appreciated!

It should fit right in! You grow various other geophytes from the winter rainfall region of South Africa so this will not pose a problem.

It is from somewhat arid areas so it will definitely grow in your garden. It's a greenhouse plant in cold wet Europe.

Full sun. Otherwise the foliage is less contorted and more just a succulent strap!

Like most plants with contorted leaves in habitat, that is enhanced by exposure to sun.

My T. t. came into growth in August with tightly folded leaves but growth over the past month or more has been straight.
