This is an iris given to me by an old friend who has grown them for more than 50 years.  The plant grows about 30" tall and blooms now (May) in Southern California.  I am guessing it is a Louisiana iris but I'd love a better ID.  What do you think?

Sorry, Nan, but something went wrong with that upload - actually that's the first time I see this blob thing, had to Google it stands for "binary large object", I don't think the forum supports that type.

Please use the menu hidden behind "attachments and other options" below the text field to upload photos. there's a detailed description of the Process here: https://www.pacificbulbsociety.org/pbsforum/index.php?topic=18.0

I'd guess doing the upload wrong, like drag and drop from inside the browser. I'd never heard of blob either:

"A blob : URL does not refer to data the exists on the server, it refers to data that your browser currently has in memory, for the current page. It will not be available on other pages, it will not be available in other browsers, and it will not be available from other computers."
