Pasithea, Dianella

In a bit of bad planning I realised recently that I have Pasithea caerulea planted alongside Dianella caerulea. Both are in flower at the moment here, and not dissimilar in general apprearance; but the former outshining the latter as regards flower colour and size, and glossy leaves but no berries after; unlike the Dianella. These are both classified as family Asphodelaceae and subfamily  Hemerocallidoideae.

Are these capable of crossing? The bees are trying.

I don't have knowledge of specifics here; but, most monocot families are capable of forming intergeneric hybrids. It is at least theoretically possible. I can't say whether it is likely but my hunch is that it is very unlikely.
