Allium atroviolaceum

Quick Characteristics:

Allium atroviolaceum Boiss. is a tall species with a 4" (10 cm+) nice drumstick head. It grows in the Eastern Mediterranean region with its western limit in Apulia which is the only occurrence in Italy. At the time of flowering, the leaves have already dried and disappeared.
