Dear Jim,
I believe that commercially vibrating tables are
used very effectively. The angle of the table is varied and the rate and
magnitude of the vibrations are controlled. Various fabrics are used to
adjust the grab on the chaff as opposed to the seed. They seem very
effective in the seed industry and I wonder if one could be constructed
fairly simply using some device such as a hammer drill of other hand
tool with a reciprocating action.
