Use plastic pots. They will tell you when it's time to repot. Big means all
dimensions with these.

No problem as long as they're shaded and the pots don't get sun to heat the
soil. This goes for most (but not all) cacti - they're fine with 120 F /
50C if they have some shade and the roots don't cook in a sunny pot. If
nights cool down a lot these CAM plants are even better.
