My ID on this plant is suspect because none of the available pictures are an exact match. but it is the closest I can do. A Polianthes (not tuberosa, it has tubular dark dusky pinkish flowers downward drooping and scattered along the top four feet of the 5.5 foot or 1.8 meter stalk) that I received from PBS a number of years ago set seed for the first time. Not expecting anything and being a casual aficionado, I thought I would see if I could get germination by placing them on a wet paper towel. One has germinated and now I don't know what to do. I plan on placing it in a pot with equal parts sand and peat moss, as recommended here, but does anyone have any other suggestions? Keep it warm, keep it cold? Presumably it needs light because that is what it has been getting.
