Some frustration here, tried to order Oron’s new book from the Alpine Society and had my credit card blocked for suspected fraud. Still working on how to get around that particular issue so that I can get the book! As for blooming, a few Cycl. coum, and several different Iris unguicularis, Iris ‘Premonition of Spring’, a PCI bred by Garry Knipe in the Bay Area, CA, to flower in winter, which it does even at my latitude. A few roses have colored buds and flowers, and the hellebores are in bud but not yet open. In the cold frame, a Lachenalia, also the tiny white flowered Polyxena longituba are flowering now. Kathleen
