I happen to grow this bulb. I grow all my winter bulbs in my basement under led lights. I use high light. I do not have a meter to measure the light output so I must trust the manufactures spec. The units they use is PAR or PPFD. The par lighting for my H crispus would be about 300-400. What does this mean, my Albuce concordiana has beautiful compact coiled leaves and the H crispus has wavey leaves like those shown in Doug Westfall's photo shown on the PBS site. Watering and soil maybe an issue too. I use a very lean mix. Mostly pumice and turface with a splash of metro mix 560. Watered throughly once a week.
