Yes, Ceridwen, and as climate shifts, tropical mosquitoes are moving to the US. And they are not having any trouble finding lodgings.

Only if you are in the tropics - the vector for Zika is a tropics-only mosquito. (Of course there are lots of other nasties spread by mozzies so making life hard for them is a good idea wherever you are)
