I was cruising Timber Press’s books a few weeks ago, and saw a new book on steppes: Steppes: the plants and ecology of the world’s semi-arid regions, by Michael Bone, Dan Johnson, Panayoti Kelaidis, Mike Kintgen, and Larry Vickerman. So I bought it, of course, and have spent a lovely weekend reading about the four steppe regions around the world. Each major steppe has its own section.
