Hello Folks, It's that time of year again when a bunch of my bulbs are coming out of dormancy and will need to a lot of re-potting. I have been using Pro Mix BX in the past (with good results) as a base and adding other media for drainage and water retention. I was thinking of using coco coir as the base, but having used it in the past for my clivia seedlings, it was nearly a disaster and almost lost them due to high salt concentration in the coir. Can anyone give me their opinion on switching from Pro Mix to coir and any experience they had (good or bad). Thank you in advance for your much needed and valuable feed back.
