Snowdrops in Bloom

This Xmas saw a few snowdrops performing early. We had only had one real overnight freeze up to that point.
A great many of the Galanthus rizehensis selections seem to respond to mild weather and are fully out now.
The elwesii monostictus 'Mrs McNamara' flowered for the first time ever for me at Xmas.
Ditto the 'Faringdon Double' which has been known to flower this early for others.
I grow quite a few different clones of the heimale group. They are all great plants for winter gardens!

Kind regards,
Mark

" Dear Judy and all, So close. Although mine are up and showing some color, they are not really close. This is early and there are single digits temps due soon. Further along- out of sheath and showing color - is Narc. Cedric Morris. Tiny, but always the first to bloom. Now protected under a bell as we are going 50 5 F in a couple of days. Snow would slow this all down, but it doesn’t meet the forecast - or rarely. Best Jim "
