IBS Gallery Fate

Hi Jim,

When we first heard that the IBS was closing its doors, we had the same
concerns that the gallery of many photos will be gone along with the
society. Mike Mace made contact with the then president to ask what will
happen to the gallery. He said that he was going to try and keep the
gallery online and has local copies of it and will try to get it going. I
don't think we got very far with trying to get it hosted on PBS. The
important thing to remember is that apart from a few rare species of
amaryllids, our wiki has much better representation, newer photos, and
better resolution. Pursuing the old IBS gallery is not an effort that the
PBS Wiki team can afford at the moment due to various issues including
negotiations, copyright, and time.

If you ever need to look up anything from the IBS, I would suggest using
the Way Back Machine as suggested in the other post.

Best,
Nhu
