The "treasure hunt" aspect of tracking down a locale/area and then managing to find the plants there is perhaps the most tangible & immediate attraction. I also want to try growing these plants as well - so visits to their habitat are vital for that. Having also read Gerritsen & Parsons - and seen many of these flowers on hikes - I wanted to also get a feel for the actual variation in these plants.
