From Uli Urban: (SEEDS)

15. Tradescantia boliviana
Only recently described. 80cm tall upright perennial, summer growing,
strictly and completely dry winter dormancy. Needs full sun to remain
upright, masses of medium sized purple triangles along the shoots, very
attractive. Bolivian native.

I have a number of seedlings and they have been blooming off and on. They remain smallish plants, modest pink flowers and typical Commelinaceae. Coming from Bolivia I am wondering if these have any hardiness - or should I be worried about self seeding and winter survival in Zone 5?

There is very little to no info about this species on the web except for taxonomic info. Anyone have longer term experience growing these? Uli any more information?

Appreciate any growing info or winter care. Thanks Jim
