Hello Tim, over time the rubber will begin to break down & leaches
chemicals which is a concern, but ive been looking into it for kids play
grounds etc & found it insulates the under layer well but can get hot in
the sun at the surface so perhaps bulbs wont like that....  You find weeds
& grass struggle to live in it, so perhaps bulbs may not like pushing
through it too ???
