I haven't grown this Hip but caatinga soil is pretty much pure sand with a little bit of
decayed organic matter in the top inch or so. Rain falls in the summer and it is warm
all year - shorts weather in the daytime. And be sure the Hip grows in the soil and not
on something else like a columnar cactus or a rockpile.
