Hardiness of Zephyranthes foliage

I have gotten flavissima to seed on occasion and have raised plants from seed. Something about them makes them reluctant to seed even though I hand pollinate. Last year was a good year for them to seed but this year has yielded no seeds even with hand pollination. I have also found that if you buy potted plants I shake all of the potting mix off of them and plant them in the ground where they are going. Most potting mixes will keep bulbs too moist and they will freeze here in NC. Once I started replanting them in a lower organic content soil that drains well I quit loosing bulbs and raise many that are not zone 7 hardy if you follow recomendations.

Tony -
I got a chance to grow Zephyranthes flavissima from wild collected seed but
they were not particularly unique different. I go them to flower a couple
years but have since lost the group
