Just to let everybody know that Russell's Crocus korolkowii 'Black-Eyed Beauty' has been blooming in a very warm spot of my Rapid City (SD) backyard for the last ten days, and it shows every sign of continuing. Species tulips and other spring bulbs are just now beginning to show their leaves, including Crocus sieberi (tricolor), strange to say. I thought it would be in bloom already.
