Gladiolus gracilis

Hi Angelo,
Arnold suggests checking for fragrance. The Gladiolus that I am trying to identify does have a markedly sweet scent, but only in the morning sun. In fog or evening mine has no scent. And even though the scent is strong to me, my husband cannot detect any fragrance. So smell yours at different times of day and possibly ask a friend to sniff also.

One thing I think is great about the pbs wiki images is there are often several of the same species showing variation in color and shape. In the print books there is usually only one photo so it is harder to gauge the variability when comparing to identify our own blooms.
