Worsleya stew

I also have to say that Leo's Worsleya April Fools email was one of the best plant-related April Fools I've ever experienced, and I grow Worsleya. I was initially taken in and as I kept reading my jaw kept getting closer and closer to floor. I was even hovering over the reply to sender button to ask Leo to please please save some of the seedlings. (And in my mind I kept asking myself over and over: "How does he *do* it, especially in southern Arizona!" I *really* wanted that clone of his.) But when I got to the Roundup part, I couldn't believe even the most jaded bulb grower would do that to Worsleya! I finally checked the date when I got to the part where he said Roundup wasn't very effective on Worsleya because as anyone who has tried growing Worsleya knows, it isn't *that* difficult to kill. But for a while there, I gullibly couldn't believe that Leo was so much better at growing them than the best growers among the Australians! I nearly died laughing, however, when I read the follow-up post about not wanting to donate such a weedy plant to the BX! Thanks, Leo.
