Locality data

Leo,

Yes, I am familiar with this seeming peculiarity. Using raw characters
without any notion of geography can be a hindrance, but then botany
(taxonomy and floristics) is scarcely reliant on plants or specimens of
unknown origin. Field data is sometimes as much as about knowing a plant is
of wild origin (v. garden origin) than knowing precisely where it was
collected. As I like to say, names change but a locality does not. A
locality can help in the identification of a plant and also in its
cultivation.
