I'm going to keep out of the locality data discussion but there is an interesting paper forthcoming in the Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society that is relevant to that discussion -- and to bulbs. It compares morphology- and phylogeny-based clades of Erythronium. (Neither is particularly successful at resolving the Western American species).
