Hi, I would like to know who may have had the coldest successful overwinter in the ground with Dahlias. Did you add a mulch. We are projected to have a freeze Wednesday and this is my first year growing Dahlias. I planted them in pots for a head start, but we had a very late spring so I had to cut back the plants before putting them out. Then the fire smoke seemed to stall my whole garden so the Dahlias were late blooming, and now a frost!
