The need to stratify Bomarea seeds will vary with the species. I have grown some of our native Ecuadorian species from seed, and they sprouted immediately without stratification. Since they do not experience big seasonal temperature changes here, I can't imagine it would be helpful to stratify them. Perhaps more southern South American species might need it, though. Lou
