When to plant

Hi Elaine,
Last month I asked a similar question and got advice which may help you. See subject 'Summer bulb storage' in the June archive. To summarize, some bulbs such as Oxalis do fine stored in paper bags indoors until planting time. Mary Sue notes that if your summer is too cool then the bag can be kept warmer. Other bulbs, benefit from being stored or potted in slightly dampened mix (especially some Narcissus and Fritillaries Jane notes.) Also mentioned were keeping pots shaded and protected from rain.

I share your feeling of pure joy when the little envelope or box arrives from Dell!
