What is "in bloom" now

Dear PBSers,

New Year's Day brought out Narcissus 'Cedric Morris' first
open bloom. We have had Cedric bloom in Jan before, but the end of
Jan is more common and so is Feb. Very cute tiny yellow perfect
trumpets.

Our unusual warm weather has been bringing a variety of early
bulbs to the surface. We can see color on a number of Galanthus,
Rynfeld's Early Sensation and others.

This is really odd since we have very little sign of winter
here with temps barely dipping into the teens once or twice, almost
no real snow (a dusting, only) and days keep popping up to 60 or
above in Nov and Dec and even forecast for later this week. Wonder if
we are going to get hit by a big snow and cold storm this winter.
Waiting for the 'shoe to drop'.

Happy New Year to all. Best	Jim W.
