I agree, I clean the seeds while the pulp is still soft.  The actual  seeds 
don't need to be cleaned or washed once the pulp is off.  I've tried  
drying the pulp, but for the two arisaema species I grow, the pulp sticks too  
much to the seeds to be cleaned off once dried.  I've also had no allergic  
reactions to the pulp.
