Crinum question

I had 4 clumps of Crinum (powellii?) flowering this year, and the last 3-4 years, in 12" pots, 2 round, 2 square. No idea what this is in gallons, US dry or liquid, or UK versions. One observation this year was that the deeper the bulb the earlier the flower stem appeared. The bulb nearest the surface flowered last. Not noticed this before. 6 flower stems from 4 pots. They are stored frost free.
Never found the white form as easy to grow. Is that just me?
