Iris anguifuga - pseudo-bulbous??

Hi again, Janos! It's a small world. :-)

It's hardy for me. I'm on the edge of Z5 / Z6. I planted it far away from
my house, in my prairie where it receives full sun. It has survived for at
least 4 or 5 years. Basically I neglect it.

I didn't realize it was still alive until I saw it blooming this year. It
blooms so early before my other prairie plants, that I never noticed it in
previous years. My bearded irises near there are only just now starting to
bloom.

My point? I would probably enjoy this plant a lot more if it was closer to
my house. It's a short plant. I bet it bloomed every year but I never
realized it.
