I raised this species from (few) seeds I got a couple of years ago, the germination was easy but the seedlings aren't at all hardy. They were burnt at 0°C (32F) and reovered slowly. I don't think even mature bulbs can be hardy more than a light frost Angelo Porcelli Apulia - Southern Italy
