Greetings all,

This is the first post for this project which I hope everyone will find
interesting and useful. This week we have been enjoying 3 first time
bloomings:

*Tigridia multiflora* - a cute little species from Mexico. The flowers have
a sparkle inside that is difficult to photograph. Unfortunately they only
last one day.

*Eucomis comosa* 'Sparkling Burgundy' - I got this years ago and stayed in a
1 gallon (~3L) pot and this year I put it into a 7 gallon pot, sunk it in
the ground, and it bloomed!

*
Ammocharis baumii* - This plant is just absolutely beautiful. It makes a
single flower with a 4" perianth tube. The flowers started out white and
then turned pink in 12 hours and lasts only 48 hours. Jacob Knecht added the
entry to the wiki.
