The Fall 2011 issue of /The Bulb Garden/ is on its way to you.

In this issue Freda Cox describes the obsession sweeping
Europe---Galanthomania (snowdrop madness). Alberto Castillo brings us
Part Two of "Starting a Bulb Collection," with advice on choosing pots,
record keeping and labeling, and cultivation methods. "Zephryanthes in
the Land of the Long White Cloud" (New Zealand) is a follow-up account
by Ina Crossley of an experiment that began with seed in 2008. Nhu
Nguyen tells us about the September get-together of PBS members from
Northern California, and Marguerite English treats us to a glimpse of
plant and animal life on the edge of California's chaparral.

I'm still looking for a couple more articles for the Spring issue,
deadline February. If you have an idea you'd like to pursue, contact me
at jane@sonic.net.
