In the fridge or just in a paper envelope indoors where they'll be at room
temperature and dry.  For one season, they'll keep without refrigeration.
Remember that in nature they'd be lying on the hot dry soil for half a year.

I think sun is best, especially since they grow in winter when you'll have a
lot of cloud cover anyway.  But they will tolerate part shade.
