For me, my experience with "seedlings" comes from hybridizing irises. Anything I've grown from seed, is a seedling... even if it is 15 years old now and a massive clump of rhizomes in my garden. To other hybridizers (& iris enthusiasts in general) the name "seedling" implies that I haven't named, registered, or introduced this iris yet. Dennis in Cincinnati
