Andrew,

I just looked this one up and I agree, very impressive! I would love to
find seed as well :)

Subject: [pbs] Leontochir ovallei

Over the past week we've seen discussion of the Chilean climber, Lapageria
rosea. Beautiful, yes, but bulbous or tuberous, no. I received, by
coincidence, a message yesterday from a friend traveling in Chile that
described the definitely tuberous Chilean scrambler/climber, Leontochir
ovallei. A member of the Aristolochiae, it grows in areas on the edges of
the Atacama desert. It is in bloom there now. Impressive. Does anyone here
grow it? If so, do you know where seeds are available?
