I'd like to comment on Rachel's announcement of the IBSA Symposium. My husband and I went to the last two Symposiums held in the same venue. The speakers both times were quite good, the plant displays enticing, and the company first rate. The field trips may be the best part however. They try to find places where there will be flowers in bloom and sometimes this is on private land you would not otherwise be able to visit. Last time there was an opportunity to extend the trip to go to Middelpos with a smaller group and that was wonderful. It doesn't sound like this add on is planned for this Symposium, but for those people who have never been to South Africa and want to go other places after the Symposium IBSA members could give you good idea about where to go. A lot depends on the amount of rain each area has received and that varies every year. Mary Sue
