For me Crinum politifolium grows well in a 50/50 mix of oak leaf compost
and sandy loam in a pot. Soil is generally kept moist but is well drained in
a large terracotta pot. The lighting is somewhat filtered by trees but is
bright partial sun to full sun. In northern Florida, this species has done
very well in the ground as well in zone 8b surviving for 3 winters now and
has generally been much easier to cultivate that Crinum kirkii has been for
me which I have had the seedlings rot several times.

all the best
