Hypoxis hirsuta

Did I mention this plant a few days ago?! I can't remember who I was
talking to anymore... I think maybe it was not PBS. :)

So anyway, yeah, I've grown Hypoxis hirsuta in my garden for many years
now and I'm a bit annoyed with it. I wanted it to seed around, and it
hasn't. I confirmed it sets seed... but either it's not viable... or
the conditions are too adverse for it to take hold. The mature plants I
bought continue to thrive, though. So like I said, it's rather annoying.

It's one of the few Amaryllids (or Hypoxids) native to my area, and gosh
darn it it's awfully cute! I wish it would self seed!

I have the same wish for the local blue eyed grasses I've collected, but
they just sulk in my garden. So frustrating!
