Rodger Whitlock wrote "Tricyrtis disappears after one year..." Have you tried putting the Tricyrtis in a pot in a sunny location? I have kept one outside like that for years on the S.F. peninsula. Winter, cold rain; summer, food, water and sunshine; it's thrived. David E
