Hi Mary Sue,

I have a few bulbs in the ground, on a North-facing slope, so they are still a bit shaded and probably a bit cooler then those in the black plastic containers on my sunny patio.  Last year they were 2-3 weeks behind the ones on my patio and are only now beginning to push through the soil surface.

rain/overcast conditions have slowed them down.
