Belladonnas-by-the-Bay

Hi All (particularly Rodger),

even I...a Northern California Native...was semi-astounded to see 2 very
large clusters of Amaryllis Belladonna flowering in the Emeryville
marshlands next to the Toll Plaza approach of the SF Bay Bridge (Westbound
I-80)...growing at what had to be, like, 12" inches above Sea Level.

That they've grown & flowered vigorously for years in a salt marsh has got
to be testament to their toughness...or at least to their Ph tolerance!
