Hi Tsuh Yang:

You are correct, the progression of flowers this spring has been
compressed/telescoped significantly.

We had a volunteer analyze our weather data over the last 12 years. To
be this warm this early is not that unusual in the Chicago area.

But it is very rare to go from very cold winter to very warm spring
quickly - and to remain warm. Usually we get a few warm days followed by
some cool weather. This year it has remained warm much longer than
usual.

Just within the last couple of days have we seen a return to 'normal'
spring weather; as I type I can spot scattered snowflakes out the
window.
