Hi,

No one responded to my earlier message about the identification of a
bulb that Nick de Rothschild would like help in identifying. I have
added a downsized picture of it here:

I stated that it looks like a hybrid Ixia to me. I have some tall
pink ones that look like it. On the wiki there are a few pictures of
some unnamed hybrids that I added and one from Mike Mace that he
purchased labeled as Ixia 'Venus' that is very similar.

What do the rest of you think?

Nick, I find that once Ixias start to bloom and it rains a lot of
them do not remain upright, especially the taller hybrids, even
though you wouldn't think they'd be very heavy. The whole stalk can
lean on the ground and old flowers can hang a bit, but I don't think
you'd really call them pendulous. Ixia maculata is yellow to orange
with a dark center and four or more flowers crowded on a spike, and a
filiform tube. It has large rust brown bracts often torn at the tip.
