Pinellia cordata is very hardy as long as it's kept dry during the winter. In
the PacNW this means pot culture with overhead protection from the heavy winter
rains. Cold it doesn't mind.

However, if it goes bone dry in winter, it's very prone to rotting in the
spring. Don't water at all until you see new growth, and then water cautiously
until it's growing strongly.
