Jim, others:

I tried for years and had no luck with Pinellia cordata, killing more
than I'd like to admit. After giving up, I saw it in a couple of gardens
where it was growing in much more moist soils that I had tried. I tried
it again and my current clump has been growing for 13 years. Our plants
are growing in shade and moist, very well drained soils.
