Have any of you tried growing it as a winter grower? Conditions here are
much more suitable for winter-growing bulbs than summer-growing bulbs. The
Calochortus, Dichelostemma and other wild flowers around here grow in the
winter.

Also, I know people who have tried digging up bulbs in the wild and given
up after 6 feet of digging through sand. (Almost 2.8 meters.) Maybe you
don't have it in big enough pots?
