JAPANESE IRIS SEED.

Dear Ina,
I think I can answer for Iain.

SIGNA sends many seeds to New Zealand. Almost all are allowed
entry because they fit the Basic list and do not require any post
entry quarantine. You as importer do not need to have an import
permit either.

All Japanese Iris are cultivars of a single species Iris
ensata. Natural variation has been selected for hundreds of years to
produce the current range of modern Japanese iris.

And as Iain also said the named modern cultivars are
spectacular if you can accommodate their specific growing needs.

Good luck with growing these from seed. Best
		Jim W.
